HUGE THANKS goes out to the growing Art Refuge community
Art Refuge is a small charity and we keep our running costs to a bare minimum, ensuring that every penny goes directly into delivering our programmes.
Supporting us, we are honoured to have a creative and dynamic community made up of individuals, friends, families, collectives and movements, fundraising through events such as art auctions, epic walks, marathons and open garden art sales. For some ideas on how you could fundraise, see our Just Giving page here.

The Great Pottery Raffle!
Winner recieves The 13th Set!
We are absolutely delighted that Art Refuge has been chosen as the charity to receive the funds from the fabulous Great Pottery Raffle! With huge thanks to the wonderful 12 contestants of Series 5 - The Great Pottery Throw Down who wrote:
“THE 13TH SET - Back when we finished filming series 5 of The Great Pottery Throw Down we planned to make each other a small piece, so we each had a set of 12 things, to remind us of each other and the fantastic time we had together. But we thought it would be great if we made a 13th set. Something that we could sell to raise money for a charity. As clay is so close to all our hearts and with everything that is happening in the world with so many displaced people, we’re raising money to give to Art Refuge!
Come and see the 13th Set at Celebrating Ceramics
Waterperry Gardens, Oxfordshire

Lt. Kieran Lewis & his team raise funds for Art Refuge!
The MoD has a long tradition of raising money for charities and with COVID restrictions being lifted the opportunity and enthusiasm to continue this good work has increased! As a Bristol based team they where keen to support a local charity and Art Refuge stood out as a group that is supporting something current, relevant and at the forefront of our collective conscious!
So why Tough Mudder? They wanted to do something a bit different, something that would be a challenge and something that would get us outdoors. An Obstacle Course Race was the obvious choice and with the teamwork elements of Tough Mudder it became the obvious choice.
Recent words by Lt. Kieran Lewis - "The event is complete but it's not too late to donate. We have covered over 15km (closer to 16km according to the smart watches), 30 obstacles tackled, one swollen knee, one set of shoes destroyed, numerous bruises and grazes and everyone got wet, muddy and electrocuted (turns out running through live wires hand in hand guarantees multiple shocks). Action shots to follow."
We can't thank Lt. Kieran Lewis & his team enough!
Work Party hosted their 'The Local' entertainment night in Leeds, and helped us to raise over £500 towards our direct-project delivery.
